Going on a holiday is usually a special occasion.
It’s when you can shed the coat and sleeves for a loose shirt, board shorts and flip flops. For the ladies, it’s also when you get to flaunt your figure, either with a daring two-piece on the beach or a slinky evening gown down at the theatre.
Unfortunately, to do any of these, you need to be at your best to look your best. You simply can’t cram 40 inches of beer belly into tight-fitting trunks and expect to look good while lounging by the pool. Sure, you’re bound to get looks thrown your way, but not the kind that you expect… or want.
As we’ve already established that vacations are special occasions, it’s worth taking the time to prepare for them. And by prepare, we mean prepping your body to look good sitting on that sun chair.
Here are ways you can look your best before going on a trip down to the tropics:
Lose weight
First and foremost is to trim your body to a more aesthetically appealing shape.
There are many ways to do this. If your planned vacation is still months away, you can go on a crash diet, with lax cheat times at first, and getting stricter as the date draws near. There are plenty of diet plans available on the Internet, you just need to find out the one tailored for your specific background, health and eating habits.
Next is working out. Strictly speaking, you don’t need to go to the gym just to achieve fitness. There are lots of exercise regimens that can be found on fitness websites and bodybuilding forums. But before you try that new workout you gleaned from a visual impact muscle building review, you have to consult with your physician first. Depending on your age and health condition, there are some workout styles and positions that may not be applicable for you.
Finally, if you have the money to spare, you can also avail of liposuction or cosmetic surgery. But be aware that this requires sufficient recovery time that can last several weeks. In addition, it will leave scars that might not heal for a long time. So even laser lipo treatment is not advisable if your vacation is drawing near.
Grooming
You don’t have to artificially tan yourself before leaving… after all, that’s what you’ll do during your vacation. But before you can sun yourself, you must groom your body.
Shave all unwanted hair in sensitive areas. When it comes to your nether regions, this might be best left to professional waxing salons. Doing it at home may not leave desirable results, and you might even nick or cut yourself.
